Different brands of reagents are NOT
interchangeable. Don’t mix brands!

Dropper bottles should be held vertically to produce
uniform-size drops.

Natural daylight is best for comparing colorimetric
test results.

It is
not necessary to wait for spa water to cool to room
temperature before performing water tests.

Reagent age can affect test results. Check the
expiration date on reagents, or replace them after a
year if you can’t find an expiration date.

Reagents should be stored tightly sealed at
temperatures between 40° and 80°F and away from
direct sunlight.

Mixing
a reagent into a water sample with your finger
capping the vial can skew the test results. Always
use the cap provided with the vial.
