Relax…
If you’re like most people, you bought your spa or hot tub
with one idea in mind…Relaxation.

PristineBlue®-
Chlorine-Free Spa Products
With PristineBlue®
in your spa, you can relax with the knowledge that the water
is being treated without the irritating effects of chlorine
or bromine.
Water treated with PristineBlue®
feels softer and looks inviting without a chemical taste or
odor. It’s gentle to equipment, won’t foam, won’t bleach
your swimsuit and you won’t believe how good your skin will
feel after a relaxing soak.
You can relax knowing that you don’t have to constantly test
your water and adjust the chemical levels…Just once every
two weeks does the trick.
Be sure you know the volume of your
spa in gallons. Your spa dealer can help you calculate the
volume and assist you with all aspects of spa ownership.
They can analyze your water and recommend products and their
phone number should be the first one you dial when you have
a question.
Start Up on PristineBlue®
1. Drain spa and refill. Replace or clean filter
thoroughly.
2. Balance water:
• Total Alkalinity: 50-90 ppm
• pH: 7.2-7.6
• Calcium Hardness: 100-300 ppm
3. Add 10 milliliters of PristineCheck®
per 100
gallons of water. Circulate 2-4 hours.
4. Shock with 5 milliliters (or 1 teaspoon) of PristineExtra®
per 100 gallons of water. Circulate 2-4 hours.
5. Clean the filter.
6. Add 5 milliliters of PristineBlue®
per 100
gallons of water.
After each use of the spa, shock with 5 milliliters (or 1
teaspoon) of PristinePower®
per 100 gallons of water. (Make sure to have jets on, and
run them about 10-15 minutes, so the PristinePower®
will not just drop to the bottom.)
Every Two Weeks
1. Balance the water.
2. Test PristineBlue®
level and
add according to the Spa Dosage Chart.
3. Add 1 milliliter of PristineClean®
per 100
gallons of water.
4. Add 1 milliliter of PristineClear®
per 100
gallons of water.
5. Use PristineMisttm
once every 4 to 6 weeks to prevent odor and discoloration to
the underside of the spa cover.
(Most spa professionals recommend that you drain and refill
your spa every 3 months.)

Hints and Tips
Use these helpful ideas to operate your spa safely,
efficiently and economically.
1. Always shower before using the spa. Lotions,
body oil, sweat, etc. may cloud the water.
2. Dry the spa surface before replacing the
cover. This will prevent odor and lengthen the life of the cover.
3. Do not use household cleaners on the spa.
4. Do not use the spa under the influence of
alcohol, narcotics or other drugs that can
cause drowsiness.
5. If you are pregnant, consult your physician
before using a spa.
6. PristineBlue®
cannot be stored below 32˚
Fahrenheit.
Your spa dealer and PristineBlue®
technical support are always glad to answer your questions.
Water Balance is the Key
An essential element in maintaining any body of water is
what professionals refer to as water balance. Water balance
involves several parameters that must be maintained within
certain ranges to make the water comfortable and clear and
to optimize the effectiveness of the chemicals being added
to the water.
In using PristineBlue®,
the most important parameters are total alkalinity and pH.
• Total Alkalinity: 50-90 ppm
• pH: 7.2-7.6
There are a variety of test kits and products on the market
to measure and adjust these parameters. If you need help
determining or adjusting your water balance, take a water
sample to your dealer for a thorough analysis.
Filter, Filter and Filter Some More
Filtration is a vital part of keeping your spa water crystal
clear. Most spa manufacturers recommend that water be
circulated through the spa filter a minimum of 6 to 8 hours
a day, but you can never filter too much. Be certain that
your filtering schedule is adequate for your spa volume and
usage. Keep your filter in top shape by soaking it in filter
cleaner regularly and replace it as needed.
